Kokopelli, the hump back flute player, is a symbol of fertility known for thousands of years throughout the three Americas. The humpback of Kokopelli is not a true hump but a sack of seeds and whilst he sows the seeds hidden in the humpback, he sings and plays the flute. Thus he breathes into the seeds the breath of Life. Faced with all the terrible forces of destruction currently on our planet, the symbol of Kokopelli represents for us the hope of a planet once more fertile and of Seeds the bearers of Life.
The head of Kokopelli is covered with antennae enabling him to capture the song of the stars and to breath it into the Seeds of Life, Seeds of the Stars, which fertilize Mother Earth. |
